Affiliate
An affiliate is pretty much the same thing as lead vendor. You can use affiliates to drive traffic to your landing page or join an affiliate network and become an affiliate. It is a term used to describe a relationship between lead buyer and lead supplier. A lead supplier is an affiliate.
Analytics
Web analytics in LeadExec allows you to measure, collect, analyze, and generate reports on data gathered from the people who are visiting your webpage and being converted to leads. This is vital for understanding how to best spend your marketing dollars as it is not just a tool for measuring website traffic. LeadExec Analytics provides information about the number of visitors to a website and the number of page views and helps gauge traffic and popular trending keywords which is useful for market research.
Authorize.Net
Authorize.net is payment processing gateway. It is used by a large percentage of merchant companies. At ClickPoint we have a bi-directional integration with Authorize.net. This helps our clients to be able to process credit cards and track purchases through our software.
Automation
The automation process is how LeadExec chooses to which client a lead will be delivered. First, LeadExec will determine which clients qualify for the leads based on delivery criteria. Then, from that list of qualified clients, the automation will determine which client actually receives the lead based off the automation setting you establish. The 5 automation types are: Round Robin, Price, Priority, Percentage, and Weighted.
B
Banner
A banner is a form of online advertisement. It is used to drive people to a landing page where lead data is collected and disseminated. Often banner advertisement will display some kind of an offer that will intrigue its intended audience. It acts much like a billboard or newspaper advertisement.
C
Call Verification
Call verification is a process that is carried out by an internal caller within a company that collects leads. The caller will call on leads to determine the validity and interest level of the applicant. Call verification has always been one of the best ways to score lead data.
Campaign
A campaign in LeadExec refers to the account within a LeadSource that accepts leads for that lead source. You cannot accept leads without a campaign in place within your lead source. A campaign can control the daily/weekly/monthly maxes for an account, the criteria for lead rejection, the cost of particular types of leads, etc.
CDYNE
CDYNE is an integration partner ClickPoint works with to provide lead scoring. CDYNE is able to perform reverse 411, e-mail validation, phone verification, and more.
Click to Chat
Click to chat is feature in LeadExec and Lead Management Systems that allows you to speak via instant messaging with a support person. You can type your request and be connected with a support person in a live chat environment.
Client
A Client is any entity to which you are distibuting or selling leads. Clients can contain multiple Delivery Accounts and use multiple Delivery Methods to which leads can be delivered.
Client Portal
The client portal provides an interface for your clients to receive leads and work their leads with out having a third party lead retrieval system. When you set up a client and choose “internal system” as their delivery method, this means that they will be logging into the client portal to view their lead located at www.lead-backoffice.com.
Contacts
Contacts are clients or vendors that you want to keep on file for future business dealings. You want to save vendor and clients that have a high value and potential for future business.
Column Header
Column header refers to the header on top of each column in an Excel document or in a grid that displays leads. The column header can be Loan Amount, Name, Phone Number, and other header descriptions. The Column Header is always on top of the document and usually in bold type.
Criteria Value
Criteria, is a term used to describe the set of values that a client may request with a lead order or a vendor may supply with a post. The criteria will usually be the amount of requested leads, $ values, geographical locations, etc. Criteria are often used to help determine how leads should be delivered to a destination.
CSV Attachment
A CSV is a type of file that is separated by commas. It is usually an Excel document and you can easily save a document in Excel as a CSV (Comma Separated Value).

Dashboard
Dashboard is the first screen you see when logging into LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition. The dashboard gives you a snapshot of your lead delivery, volume, revenue, essentially a company snap shot.
Database
Database refers to the storage device to which your lead are being held. When a lead is attempted to be delivered, regardless if it is accepted or not, it will be stored in our database and can be access from the “Search All Leads” screen.
Delivery Account
Delivery acounts are set up within a Client in LeadExec. They contain all the rules, prices, and delivery methods that a delivery account must contain in order to deliver leads properly. One delivery account and one delivery method must exost in order to deliver leads to a client.
Delivery Criteria
Each client to which you are delivering leads can have criteria setup to ensure only the leads they want will go to them. Criteria can be based on a number of fields, including the following: Zip code, State, Province, Mortgage, or LTV.
Delivery Groups
Delivery groups allow you to setup particular automation setting for your clients according to their group automation settings.
Delivery Method
A delivery method is basically the way in which a lead gets delivered; Which method to use: XML, HTTP POST, email, etc. One single delivery account can deliver to up to two methods at the same time.
Delivery Delay
Delivery delay is a process within LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition that allows you to set a time for leads to be sent to a particular client. Some clients may pay more for real time leads and some may want a lower price per lead and don’t mind paying for leads that are not real time. If a lead buying client wants leads older than 24hours you would set a Delivery Delay in order to get them the leads in that time frame.
Direct Traffic
Direct traffic is a term used to describe leads that came to your site without being referred by a referring site.
Distribution
Distribution refers to the distribution of leads to your clients in LeadExec. In order to see all leads that have been delivered to particular clients, click on the “Distribution” button next to the Lead Maximizer button from the Leads tab.
Dupe
A lead that is already either A. provided to a client within a certain date range by another lead company or B: A lead supplied to a client by your company within a date range. Most large companies with their own lead management system will set a dupe range within 30, 60, or 90 days.

Exclusive Groups
You can create exclusive groups for delivery. This is useful if you wish to have a lead source campaign deliver exclusively to one or many clients that you can specify. When LeadExec scans for potential clients, these exclusive groups tell LeadExec that if a lead is sent to one of the clients in that group, stop delivery.

Field Mapping
Field mapping is a process within LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition and Lifecycle where you map fields within a lead file and the fields within the system for lead import. When you are importing a lead file into either system the column headers need to match in order to get leads into the system. If column headers don’t match you can imagine it would cause problems with lead sorting and delivery.

Hot Transfer
If you are unable to get live leads into LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition you may want to import old lead files. LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition gives you the ability to import lead files. You can import as many leads as you like as long as they are in a .xls or Excel file format.

Import Contacts

IVR
IVR stands for “Interactive Voice Response.” LeadExec allows you to purchase 1-800 IVR numbers straight from the system. With 800 IVR call routing managing your offline lead campaigns has never been easier. Simply purchase 800 numbers right inside of LeadExec or port your old numbers over to our system. LeadExec has more advanced call routing rules than you will find anywhere. With our advanced system you can set as many call routing rules as you like. You can also set up prompts like request for a zip code or various product offerings. Our system will route the call to your buyers in real time and record the call inside of LeadExec for further review. Landing Page
A landing page is a web address that you internet marketers use to collect lead information. If you create a banner campaign the banner will direct an applicant to a form page for submission. Similarly, e-mail campaigns and other marketing campaigns will commonly refer to the form page as a landing page.
Lead
A lead is anyone who is looking for a product or service. People go online to search for products and services but also respond to mail, radio, and television ads. When a person responds to this type or marketing or searches for a product or service using a search engine they become a lead for a company that wants to offer them their products or services.
Lead Cleansing
Lead cleansing is the process in which LeadExec helps you to ensure your leads are legitimate and have to the most accurate information available on each lead. Lead cleansing tools like phone validation, lead scoring, lead grading, dupe checking, profanity filtering, outside criteria, outside order, and integrated CDYNE reverse 411 look up for up for accuracy of information can all be used to ensure proper lead cleansing.
Lead Distribution
Lead distribution refers to advanced software systems that use a variety of methods to deliver leads to a specific location. In LeadExec there are many ways to deliver leads. Lead distribution typically refers to delivering leads in an automated way so that once settings are in place leads can be sent automatically. Lead distribution also has several components to it like the method that leads are delivered to their final destination. Typical methods include http post, get, ping post, ftp upload, soap post, e-mail with .csv attachment, e-mail with info in the body, and e-mail with an embedded link. Leads can also be delivered using a real-time or time delayed setting.
Lead Forecasting
Lead forecasting is the process in which you define the number of leads you are expecting to have for dates in the future which then allows you to compare your projected number against your actual numbers and see if you’ve met your company’s expectations.
Lead Grading
Lead grading in LeadExec is the process by which Leads are assigned a letter grade which helps prevent fraudulent or problem leads from making it to your customers. This improves the overall quality of the leads going to your clients and allows you to charge your clients more per lead. How these grades are determined depends entirely upon your custom scoring criteria input.
Lead Management
Lead management describes systems that have been created to aid sales organizations in maximizing their effectiveness with leads. Most lead management systems will use a combination of delivery settings to ensure that leads are responded to as quickly as possible while being delivered to the best sales agents in the company. Lead management systems typically will also have methods for increasing the percentage of contacted vs. non-contacted leads. Some of these methods include dialing functionality, automated e-mail, lead validation, and advanced filtering capabilities.
Lead Pack
Lead packs allows your clients to purchase aged leads from your LeadExec account at their own leisure from the client portal.
Lead Scoring
Lead scoring referrers to using our LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition lead scoring system. Many companies that specialize in lead sales will use some kind of lead scoring to determine the quality of the leads they are creating or buying. The higher the score the higher quality leads are coming through your LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition system. Typically, we use a good to contact ratio. If you contact 2 potential leads and one is good and the other is bad you would have a 50% score.
Lead Source
Lead sources or vendors in LeadExec provide leads to your system. A lead source could be a banner company, cpc company, reseller of leads, SEO LeadExec provider, any online or offline lead source including your 800 IVR number. We use the term lead source to stay consistent when describing these different forms of lead providers.
Lead Source Group
Setting up lead source groups is a way of organizing your lead sources/vendors so that you can easily generate reports based on the Lead Source group you have set up.
Lead Source Portal
The lead source portal is a web-based system used by lead suppliers to track statistics. Any affiliate, vendor or third party lead source would use this system to check accepted and rejected leads. LeadExec offers a lead source that these sources can use so that they always know how they are performing.
Lead Type
Lead Type refers to the many types of leads that you can create with the LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition system. You have the ability to have any kind of lead you can create come directly through the LeadExec cleansing system and distributed to your lead buying clients.
Lead Watcher
The Lead watcher gives you up to date geographical information on where your leads are coming from. This is helpful if you are tracking where your leads are coming from when they go to your landing page.
Live Call Transfer Form
LCT(live call transfer) form – With the LeadExec live call transfer system, it has never been easier to manage your live call transfer campaigns. We supply you with a unique branded form to be used with any internal or external call center. Best of all, this form works with most dialers. This live call form integrates fully with LeadExec and will use your existing rules to show the caller where the lead should go. With LeadExec you have the ability to not only create live call transfers, but to also send them to the correct customer in real time. As your client receives a call they will also receive an e-mail with the live call info, or LeadExec can send the caller right into their proprietary system. You have a seamless live call transfer system that connects your call centers with your customers in real time.

Maximizer
Maximizer is a term coined by ClickPoint Software to describe our lead distribution center within LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition. We call it the Maximizer because this system maximizes the amount per lead you can get from potential lead buying clients. With automated delivery, multiple lead campaigns running simultaneously, lead grouping, lead sorting, a color coded legend, posting, and instant server responses our Maximizer is one powerful lead distribution tool.
Merchant Account
A merchant account is what businesses use to process credit cards. There are many choices available, however, Authorize.net has to be the approved gateway for your merchant account. Make sure you read the section on getting started for your merchant account.
My Account
My account is where most of your user settings are located. The My Account tab will let you provide information about your company along with settings that determine the rules you would like in place with your LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition system.

New Client
In LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition you have the ability to setup a new client to receive leads. Every time you bring on a new client you will set them up in the system.
New Lead
A new lead is a lead that has just been posted, imported, or received via e-mail into LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition. Each new lead will first appear in the Quality Control bin.
Notification
The notification system is meant to give you more control over the functionality of Lead Exec by giving you the ability to be notified of minor issues before they become big problems such as a client returning too many leads, a Lead source delivering too many leads or a case of too many leads going undelivered to a particular client. This document will provide you the information necessary to create notifications and integrate them into your Lead Exec system.

Order
An order is a set amount of leads that are going to be delivered to a client. You would set one of these up if you had your client pre-paying for let’s say 100 leads. You would create an order for 100 leads, and when that order was complete, delivery to this client would stop.
Order ID
Order ID is an ID given to each order created in LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition. The Order ID is used to keep track of orders and give them a chronological order.
Order Summary
The Order Summary is a way to keep track of all of your active orders. This summary will show you orders that are about to expire and orders that are in need of more funds to keep receiving leads.

Permission groups
Permission groups are a way to set up one type of permission, like “manager,” and allow you to assign multiple new users to this group. This will save you time in that you will not have to recreate the same level of permissions for every new user.
Pivot Grid
A pivot grid represents data from a grid in a cross-tabulated form. It calculates summaries and summary totals against specific fields and displays the summary values within data cells. The pivot grid will be accessible from the Lead Maximizer, Lead Search, and Client Delivery screens.
Post
Most often, a post refers to an HTTP POST which is a method used to send lead data, but the word “post” is often used to refer sending lead data regardless of the method. In that regard, you can see why other methods will be loosely referred to as a post when they technically are not, such as XML post, LCT form post, or SOAP post.
Pre-Populate
Pre populate is a term used to describe what takes place when a potential lead fills in an application form and then the next form that pops up has their information already filled in. This is a method used by internet marketers to increase the number of online application filled out by one particular applicant.
Predictive Dialer
A predictive dialer is used to make telemarketing and call verification more efficient. Typically a predictive dialer will dial out anywhere from 3 to 5 lines per caller at once. When a call is connected it uses mathematical algorithms to slow down the dialing until the call is released. Typically, a caller can make several hundred calls per hour with this tool.

Referring Site
This is a third party site that directs/refers leads to your website.
Reseller
A reseller is user in LeadExec whose main goal is to sell Leads to clients using your LeadExec account. The reason they are considered a reseller as opposed to a regular user is that they only have access to the clients that belong to that reseller. Each client can be assigned to the reseller from the client contact information tab when viewing a client’s details.
Q
Quality Control
Quality control is the process of protecting your lead buying clients from bad leads. There are many bad lead sources out there, many bogus lead entries, and many malicious competitors that will fill out bad information on purpose. It is your job to protect your clients from this. LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition equips you with all the tools you need to give your customers the best possible leads.

Search All Leads
The Search All Leads screen allows you to search the entire database of leads you’ve received regardless of whether or not they’ve successfully made it into your system.
Search Posting String
A posting string is the response you get from posting a lead to another lead buying client. Their system will either return a Valid Success string or a string that tells you why it was not a success. You can use this string to help troubleshoot a bad post or new post.
Scrubbing Leads
Scrubbing leads often refers to lead cleansing. When you have a large list of leads and you want to make sure they are not on the DNC (Do Not Call) list you will most likely perform a lead scrub. This will check all the names and numbers you have against the DNC list so that you do not call anyone on that list.
SQL Server
LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition is hosted on a Microsoft SQL server. Their servers are considered to be the best in class and can handle heavy data volume which LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition requires.
SSL Certificate
An SSL certificate is required to post leads back and forth between lead companies. It essentially makes the transmission of personal information contained in leads unreadable and protects it from possible interception. It encrypts the data so that even if it were intercepted it would be unreadable. This is protection for you and your lead buying clients. LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition, Lifecycle, Lender Admin, and the Basic Lead Retrieval system all use an SSL certificate to ensure your protection.
Sub Lead Source Group
A sub lead source group is helpful for further defining your Lead Source groups into smaller categories.
System Fields
System fields are any fields that can be used in conjunction with any lead type, such as: First Name, Last Name, City, State, Primary Phone. This association is made in the Lead Type Manager when adding a new lead.

Targus
Targus is a national database that will match your prospects name and phone number to an address using their vast database.
Trouble Tickets
A trouble ticket can be submitted using the Help tab on LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition. By submitting a trouble ticket you are informing support of a problem you are having with the LeadExec Lead Vendor Edition system.

User
A User is any person you are setting up to have access to LeadExec. You will want to adjust their permission settings to control what level of access they have to your LeadExec account.
User Groups
User groups are groups of clients or vendors that you group together to prevent duplicate information, make reporting easier, and help with billing. If one particular client receives several kinds of leads you would want to assign them to a group so that invoicing and lead retrieval are easier for the client. Similarly, vendors that supply more than one lead type or several tiers of one lead type need to be assigned to a group in order to make their reporting easier.

Vendors
Vendors are LeadExec providers, sources, and affiliates. A lead vendor could be a banner company, cpc company, reseller of leads, SEO LeadExec provider, any online or offline lead source. We use the term vendor to stay consistent when describing these lead sources.

Vertical (campaign)
A vertical or campaign is another term used to describe what we call a “Lead Type” in LeadExec.
VoIP
Voice over Internet Protocol is a telecommunications service that utilizes the Internet to provide a user with Telephony services.
