Overview

The Skype integration offers a straightforward click-to-dial option for SalesExec users who rely on Skype for their communication needs. This simple integration allows sales representatives to initiate calls directly from lead records by launching a skype:<number>?call link, streamlining the dialing process and reducing the need to switch between applications.

How It Works

When a call is initiated from a lead record in SalesExec, the integration generates a skype: URI containing the lead's phone number. This URI then triggers the local Skype client to open and place the call. SalesExec aims to simplify outbound activity by keeping all call initiation within its interface. To ensure smooth operation and avoid conflicts, enabling the Skype integration will disable other conflicting softphone integrations, such as Nextiva, RingCentral, and SIP.
